Admissions Policies
Our programs are built to prepare the next generation of innovators in science, technology, and healthcare. From hands-on lab training to real-world biotech applications, our curriculum empowers students with the skills they need to thrive in a rapidly evolving industry.

Eligible applicants are admitted on a first-come-first-served basis up to the posted deadline. We aim to notify students of their admission status within 10 business days of receiving their application. If you don’t hear from us within this timeframe, please contact our team for an update.
Important Note:
- Wait times may extend beyond 10 days during peak admission months - April, May and June.
- This policy excludes subsidized and scholarship-based programs, which have extended processing times due to financial aid applications.

To be considered for admission applicants must:
- Meet the minimum age requirement
- Fulfill the academic or personal prerequisites for their chosen program.

Scholarships and subsidies may be available for high-achieving students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds subject to funding availability. Financial aid is allocated to eligible* applicants on a first-come-first-served basis. Awards are calculated using a needs-based subsidy scale that considers the applicants’ annual household income and net assets.
*Eligibility:
To qualify for financial assistance students must:
- Be legal citizens of the United states.
- Reside within the LA county area.
- Demonstrate high-levels of academic achievement in science and Math.
- Demonstrate an economic need for financial aid.
To apply for financial aid:
- Notify our team of your intention to apply for financial assistance via email or at 310-483-3651
- Select the "financial aid" option on the program application form.
- Complete and submit a financial aid application form.
Important Note:
Applying for financial aid is not recommended if you can afford the course tuition, as it may delay or disqualify your application.

While we do not provide housing, enrolled students can access discount rates at our partner hotel. Booking links are available upon request after full payment of the course tuition.

Generally, we do not offer transportation to and from our programs. However, upon request, we may collect students from public transportation stations within a 5-mile radius of our facility or coordinate carpooling for students traveling from nearby locations.

To ensure the continued sustainability of our educational programs, participants are required to pay tuition fees which help to cover the programs substantial operating costs. Full payment of the course tuition must be made prior to the course start date to complete the enrollment process.

Up to 60-days prior to the course start date, full refunds will be granted when cancellations are made within 7-days of course tuition payment. Otherwise, a 50% refund will be granted for cancellations made at least 60-days prior to the course start date. No refunds will be granted after the 60-day cut-off. All credit card payments are subject to a $50 refund processing fee.

We do not allow volunteering at LA Biotech Center. All students and interns must be enrolled in a formal program, funded by tuition or financial aid.
